The Bunker CIC – Tuition Terms and Conditions

Thank you for choosing The Bunker Studios! We are committed to providing a high-quality, professional, and creative space for all of our clients! To ensure smooth operations so you have the best experience, we ask that you carefully review and adhere to the following policies, terms, and conditions.

1. Bookings

1.1 All studio bookings must be made in advance through The Bunker CIC booking system or by email confirmation.
1.2 A minimum deposit of 50% (or as otherwise stated) is required to secure the booking.
1.3 Remaining balances must be paid before or on the day of the session.
1.4 Provisional bookings will only be held for 48 hours without payment.

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling

2.1 Cancellations made 7 days or more before the session will receive a full refund.
2.2 Cancellations made less than 7 days before the booking will forfeit the deposit.
2.3 Cancellations made within 48 hours of the booking will be charged in full unless the slot can be rebooked.
2.4 Rescheduling is permitted if requested at least 72 hours in advance and subject to availability.

3. Session Times, Mixing, and Overruns

3.1 Session start and end times are agreed at the time of booking.
3.2 Please arrive on time — sessions will end at the scheduled time regardless of late arrival.
3.3 Artists must ensure sufficient time is included in their booking for all aspects of the recording process — including setup, mixing, mastering, editing, uploading, file transfer, and any minor amendments or revisions.
3.4 Any additional time required beyond the original booking for post-production work or amendments will be charged at the studio’s standard hourly rate.
3.5 Overruns may be permitted at the Studio’s discretion, subject to availability, and will be charged accordingly.

4. Use of Equipment & Facilities

4.1 All equipment provided by The Bunker CIC must be used with care and respect.
4.2 Any damage caused to equipment or property by the artist, their guests, or representatives will be charged in full.
4.3 The Studio is not responsible for technical failures beyond its control (e.g., power cuts, system faults).
4.4 No food or drink may be placed on or near studio equipment.

5. Health, Safety & Conduct

5.1 The Bunker CIC operates a zero-tolerance policy towards abuse, discrimination, or unsafe behaviour.
5.2 Smoking, vaping, or illegal substance use is strictly prohibited anywhere on the premises.
5.3 All users must follow staff instructions and fire safety procedures.
5.4 The Studio reserves the right to end a session immediately if behaviour breaches these terms — with no refund given.

6. Guests & Access

6.1 Only those directly involved in the session may enter the studio unless approved in advance.
6.2 The Studio may limit the number of guests for safety and operational reasons.

7. Data & Recordings

7.1 Artists are responsible for backing up their own files and recordings.
7.2 The Studio accepts no liability for loss of data once files have been delivered to the client.
7.3 Session files may be deleted 30 days after the session unless alternative arrangements are made.
7.4 The Bunker CIC may retain a reference copy for internal use or archiving, unless otherwise requested.

8. Intellectual Property & Credits

8.1 The artist retains all rights to original material recorded during the session.
8.2 The Bunker CIC should be credited as the recording location where appropriate (e.g., “Recorded at The Bunker CIC, Sunderland”).
8.3 Use of The Bunker’s name, logo, or brand for promotional purposes must be pre-approved in writing.

9. Photography & Promotion

9.1 The Studio may take photos or short video clips for social media or promotional purposes.

10. Liability

10.1 The Bunker CIC is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal items brought into the premises.

11. Confidentiality

11.1 The Bunker CIC respects all creative work undertaken within its studios.
11.2 Staff and volunteers will not share or disclose any material, ideas, or recordings without the artist’s consent.

12. Force Majeure

The Studio is not responsible for delays or cancellations due to circumstances beyond its control (e.g., severe weather, illness, power failure, or public emergencies). In such cases, sessions will be rescheduled wherever possible.

13. Agreement

By confirming a booking, the client agrees to abide by these Terms and Conditions and acknowledges that they have read and understood them in full.
