Employee of the Month

It’s time for the big reveal! Employee of the Month, eh? For February, of course – not this month. There’s only been 3 days, that would certainly be impressive.

Speaking of impressive, this month it’s a joint win! Congratulations to Rebecca Whitworth and James Brydon.

Rebecca has led brilliantly on the projects she has been working on, much like the 1 off workshops for Action on Dementia and Alzheimers Society. Because of her excellent display, there will be a 6 week programme started on the back of the success.

Feedback from these workshops was fantastic, with everyone praising her for the positive attitude she displayed whilst working on them – this positive attitude extended further, to Rock School – she didn’t have to jump in but she helped out regardless.

As for James, he’s had a very eventful time. He put himself forward for Pop Recs, organised and attended a gig at Fitzgeralds, attended BBC 6 Music Festival, wrote an engaging article about it. He’s taken every opportunity in his stride and has made excellent work of it. Not only that, but has also had 100% attendance. Well done to both of you.

Special thanks to Amy, Michael, and Ellis for tidying the workshop, let’s hope we can keep it this way. If there are any questions about where things should be going, just ask another member who may know.

Congratulations to all those who achieved 100% attendance in addition: Ceiran, Tom D, Toni R, Ellis, Callum.

"The Bunker is a superb place to have in Sunderland, it is a breeding ground for talent and without it I doubt I would have ever become a professional musician. I have been going there for 15 years and it's better than ever. It's soulful, ethical and affordable and the city would be screwed without it. I love it."

"Sunderland owes a great deal to the Bunker. Not just because of the bands it has helped to nurture. Well known bands reveal only a fraction of the important work that the bunker does. The work the bunker does is truly invaluable and our City cannot do without it!
